Must have the following in order to apply:
  • No minimum education required
  • Minimum of 10 years of prior Programming experience using MasterCam or similar software
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Mechanical aptitude required
  • Familiarity with mechanical measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers and precision pins
  • Ability to identify the need to make program changes to compensate for tool wear
  • Ability to change tooling and ensure compliance with the provided work instructions and prints
  • The individual must have the ability to read, write, and understand spoken English
  • Ability to read and understand product requirements and performance specifications
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, assembly drawings, parts lists, test procedures, engineering drawings, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to measure parts and features using standard inspection equipment
  • Minimum of 8 years prior experience operating CNC machines

Job Description: The CNC Programmer is responsible for programming parts to run on either a CNC Mill or CNC Lathe using the appropriate CAD/CAM software. This individual follows Quality Assurance procedures according to written specifications in order to meet an acceptable quality and safety standards. The Programmer will also be expected to operate and maintain his assigned machine(s) and produce compliant parts per the written instructions provided. Candidate will be expected be able to load parts into the assigned machine and perform the quality checks as indicated on the inspection sheets supplied. This position is also responsible for compliance with all governmental regulatory agencies and Environmental Management System.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Safely load and remove parts from the assigned machine(s).
  • Use measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers to inspect manufactured parts and ensure compliance with blue prints provided.
  • Identify the need to change tooling or make tool offsets.
  • Ability to change tools make tool offsets
  • Basic MDI programming.
  • Complete understanding of G-Codes and Conversational machine language.
  • Ability to manufacture fixtures and tooling without being provided a program
  • Deburring of parts as instructed.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work area.
  • Record such data as required by the in process inspection sheets.
  • Follow all written and verbal instruction as provided by supervisor.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures as described in the appropriate AEC manuals.
Other Responsibilities:

Assembly, cleaning and packaging of parts. Learn from more experienced operators and set-up personnel in order to advance within the organization. Control cost by reducing scrap, ensuring standards are met, increase efficiencies in the manufacturing processes.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
