Job Description: The CNC Operator II is responsible for running parts on either a CNC Mill or CNC Lathe. This individual will be able to follow Quality Assurance procedures according to written specifications in order to meet an acceptable quality and safety standards. The CNC Operator II will be expected to operate and maintain his assigned machine(s) and produce compliant parts per written instructions provided. Candidate will be able to load parts into the assigned machine(s) and perform the quality checks as indicated on the Key Dimension sheet and First, Middle and Final inspection sheet provided. This position will be responsible for the compliance with all Governmental regulatory agencies and Environmental Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Safely load and remove parts from assigned machine(s)
  • Be able to learn setting up a CNC Mill or Lathe as instructed by the programmer
  • Identify the need to change tooling, probe tooling changed and make tooling offset changed as needed
  • Deburr parts as required and instructed
  • Record all data as required on paperwork provided as well as entering data into the DBA computer system
  • Follow all written and verbal instruction as provided by the Supervisor
  • Control costs by reducing scrap, ensuring standards are met and increase efficiencies in the manufacturing process
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures as described in the appropriate AEC manuals
  • Procure a first piece, middle piece and final piece for inspection approval
  • Maintain a safe work area and environment
Work Environment & Dress Code: Machine shop, uniform. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job. While performing this job, the employee might have to stand, walk and or sit for long periods at a time. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must have specific vision abilities such as color vision and the ability to adjust focus for this job.
