Work schedule is M-F, generally 7:00 am -3:30 pm, with some occasional weekends depending on weather.
This position will include both office and field duties and will include, but not be limited to the following.
- Assists with field report development for each service performed.
- Perform field and office technical support for projects.
- Perform field Testing TAS 126, TAS 105, TAS 124, TAS 106 and Drainage Surveys.
- Perform Roof Installation Quality Assurance Inspections.
- Understand Blueprint Reading and Roof Design a plus but will train
- Basic math skills.
- Oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in English.
- Ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
- Technician Certification [minimum] - Radiation safety for nuclear density gauge. Certification is required within 180 days of hire.
Work is generally performed at heights. We do not install roofing; we test the roofing systems to Florida Code standards. Daily communication is required with site contractors, other technicians and project managers. You may also be required to perform administrative duties and basic construction materials technician duties as requested.
