EF Work Registration Requirements to receive Reemployment Assistance Benefits

Welcome to Employ Florida!

Work Registration is a valuable resource that can assist you in securing employment and must be completed prior to receiving your reemployment benefits. To complete the Work Registration, you will do the following: 1) provide your valid social security number*, 2) provide a valid e-mail address, 3) complete background information including education, certifications and employment history, and 4) create an online résumé.

You will be asked to enter your social security number to determine if you are already in the system. You MUST use your correct social security number.

If your Social Security Number is in the system, you will be taken to the log-in screen. After signing in, you will need to complete the four steps mentioned above.

*Privacy Act Statement: Pursuant to the Internal Revenue Code, 26 U.S.C. ss. 6050B and 6109(1) & (4), the Social Security Act, s. 1137 [42 USC s. 1320B-7](a)(1) and (b), and s. 443.091(1)(h), F.S, the provision of your social security number is required to be eligible for benefits. Registration for work through Employ Florida is required as part of the Reemployment Assistance claims process. The confidentiality of your social security number will be protected and will not be released unless such release is required or authorized by law. Your social security number will be used by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity in the administration of the Reemployment Assistance program and to report the benefits you receive to the Internal Revenue Service. Your social security number may be used for statistical and research purposes. Information concerning your claim may be provided to other agencies in order to verify income and eligibility pursuant to “Income and Eligibility Verification System” of the Deficit Reduction Act of 1984, Public Law 98-369.
